How do I add my own link to my Immersion List?

Open your Immersion List, tap Add Content, then Custom Content. Paste the link, check the title and the type, and tap Add to List. Found something great? Tick Share this item with the Immersed community and I'll look at it for the Library.

Adding your own links is part of Pro, like the Immersion List itself. On the free plan, Custom Content opens the upgrade screen.

Steps

  1. Go to Library and swipe to the green IMMERSION LIST card. See What is my Immersion List?.

  2. Tap Add Content. A small box asks how you want to add it: Browse Library (my picks) or Custom Content (your own link).

  3. Tap Custom Content. Add Custom Content opens. On a phone it slides up from the bottom. At the top is a Live Preview of how the card will look on your list. It updates as you type.

  4. Paste the link into Link (URL) *. Any link works: a YouTube video or channel, a podcast, a Netflix show, an article, a webtoon. Left out the "https://"? I add it.

I fill in what I can from the link: the picture, the title, and a short description in the notes. For YouTube, Spotify, Netflix, blogs, news and webtoons I also pick the type for you. The Get Immersed button in the preview lights up, so you can tap it to check the link opens.

  5. Check the Title *. Keep mine or type your own.

  6. Pick the Content Type & Platform Type *. Each one belongs to Watch, Listen or Read (it says so under the name), and that decides where it shows up when you filter your list:

    • Watch: YouTube Channel, YouTube Playlist, YouTube Video, TV Show, Movie
    • Listen: Podcast, Music, Audiobook
    • Read: Book, Article, Blog, Manga/Comic

  7. Want your own picture? Under Thumbnail Image, tap Click to Upload Image and pick one. It says Custom thumbnail uploaded. Changed your mind? Tap Clear and you're back to the picture I found from the link.

  8. Add Notes (Optional): why you want to watch it, words to look out for, a strategy. They show up as the description when you open the item later.

  9. Want to share it? Tick Share this item with the Immersed community. I review everything people share before it goes in the Library, so other immersers can find it too. Leave it unticked and it's just for you.

  10. Tap Add to List. It stays grey until there's a link and a title. You'll see "Added to your immersion list!" If you shared it, you get one message instead: "Added to your Immersion List. Thanks for sharing it! An admin will review it before it goes into the community library." It's on your list under Later.

Changed your mind? Cancel closes it without saving.

Can I add something I just logged?

Yes. When you log something with Log Session and type in your own title, the last screen, Session Logged!, asks "Do you want to add this to your immersion list to easily revisit it later?" Tap Yes, add to list and this same form opens with the title and link already in. See I forgot to start the timer. How do I log it afterward?.

Good to know

  • Check the type. If I can't tell what a link is, the type stays on YouTube Channel. Change it, or it lands under Watch.
  • It's saved to the language you're on. Switch languages and it's on that language's list instead.
  • Saved to your account. It's on your phone and your computer.
  • Already on your list? Adding the same link again won't make a second copy.
  • Sharing is a suggestion. Nothing goes public until it's been reviewed. I don't send a message when it's approved yet. Open the item's Edit Item to see where it's at ("Item in review" or "Item Approved & Published").
