Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA/UK) to use Immersed. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate registration information.
• Keeping your password (or Google account) secure.
• All activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us at support@adeimmersed.com immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account, or by emailing support@adeimmersed.com from the address on your account. If you pay for Pro, cancel it in Settings → Billing first; the app won't delete an account while its plan is still set to renew.

3. The Service

Immersed provides:

• A free, personalized Immersion Blueprint (assessment + plan + recommended platforms) for one language of your choice.
• A 7-day free trial of the full dashboard, including the Protocol page, Immersion List, Immersion Library, Tools page, Growth/Stats page, and Logs.
• Optional Google Calendar and Google Sheets integrations to import your existing schedule and logs.
• Community features that let you opt-in to share content recommendations with other users (subject to admin review).

We may add, modify, or remove features at our discretion. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that reduce functionality you rely on.

4. Pricing, Free Trial, and Billing

Free Tier. Your Immersion Blueprint, the listening games and core account features are free.

Immersed Pro. Pro is billed through our payment processor, Stripe, at $9.99 per month or $60 per year, plus any taxes that apply. The current price is always shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. If prices change, we will tell existing subscribers before the change applies to their next billing period.

Free Trial. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing. If you don't cancel, your first yearly payment is taken when the trial ends. The monthly plan has no trial and is charged when you subscribe.

Cancelling. You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Upload, share, or log content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that violates third-party rights.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that aren't yours.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except as permitted by applicable law.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to harvest data from the Service.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service or its infrastructure.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service or its content.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.
• Abuse AI features (e.g., attempts to extract system prompts, generate prohibited content, or circumvent safety controls).
• Bypass paywalls, trial limits, or feature gates.

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations.

6. User-Generated Content

Your private content. Items in your personal Immersion List, logs, schedule, notes, and uploaded avatar are private to your account by default.

Opt-in community sharing. When adding an item to your Immersion List, you may check a box marking it for community sharing. Items you opt-in to share are queued for our admin review. We may approve, reject, edit, or remove any submission at our sole discretion.

License to AdeImmersed. By opting to share content, you grant AdeImmersed aworldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, display, reproduce, modify (for formatting purposes), and distribute the shared metadata (titles, URLs, categories, descriptions, optional attribution) within and in connection with the Service. This license ends when you remove the content. It continues for items you shared that we published, which stay in the Library or Tools without your name after you delete your account (Privacy Policy Section 7), and for copies in our database provider's automatic backups until those backups expire.

You retain ownership. You retain all rights you have in your own content. You represent that you have the rights necessary to share any content you submit.

Recognition & rewards. We may track community contributions and offer recognition, badges, or rewards (such as referral bonuses or featured drops). Participation is voluntary.

Reporting. To report shared content that violates these Terms, email support@adeimmersed.com.

7. Third-Party Services and Affiliate Links

The Service uses third-party services, including Supabase (database and sign-in), Google (sign-in, Gemini AI, Calendar and Sheets imports), Stripe (payments), Resend (email) and Sentry (error reports), and it links to third-party tools and platforms, including affiliate partners such as Migaku. The Privacy Policy lists every provider and what each one receives. We are not responsible for third-party services or content. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

Affiliate Disclosure. Some links in the Service are affiliate links. If you purchase through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend tools we use or have vetted. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, and curated library content created by us, is owned by Ademola Adeyemi (AdeImmersed) and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial language-learning use, subject to these Terms.

The "Immersed" and "AdeImmersed" names and logos are our trademarks. You may not use them without prior written permission.

9. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service uses AI (Google Gemini) to generate Immersion Blueprints, plans, and cultural summaries. AI output may contain inaccuracies or be incomplete. AI content is provided for informational and educational purposes only and isnot professional language-learning, educational, medical, legal, or financial advice. Use your own judgment, and do not rely on AI output for critical decisions.

10. Disclaimers

Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT YOUR LANGUAGE-LEARNING GOALS WILL BE ACHIEVED.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADEIMMERSED, ITS AFFILIATES, AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR (B) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AdeImmersed and Ademola Adeyemi from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any third party's rights, or (d) content you submit, upload, or share.

13. Termination

You may end your account at any time by deleting it (Section 2). We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, the licenses granted to you end, and provisions that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. The U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. The "Last Updated" date indicates the last revision. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
