Hey, my name is Ademola.
I never lived in Korea. I immersed from my room in Maryland, with no Korean people to talk to. Two years later I was studying at one of Korea's top universities, the only foreigner in my politics classes.
For my first 13 months, I didn't track a thing. Then a Korean YouTuber interviewed me and asked how many hours I'd done. I had to guess. Around 3,000. A guess.
That bugged me. Because your head is extremely good at lying to you. You stumble on one sentence and it tells you that you're not good enough, and you believe it, because you've got nothing to hold up against it.
So that night I started tracking every single hour. 18 months, every day, until I landed in Korea. Every hour is still there.
People say “just immerse,” and I get why. Tracking was a chore. Nobody argues about counting steps, because your phone counts them for you. Language hours you had to write down yourself, every single day.
So I built Immersed. You press play, Aim keeps the receipts, and when your head starts lying, you have the truth to hold up against it.
Most people aren't doing it wrong. They just never had the proof they were doing it right.
My mission is to turn a million language learners into language immersers. If that's you, this is the tool I wish I'd had.
