How do I claim my free month of Pro with Migaku?

Subscribe to Migaku through my link, then come back to Aim and send me the email you used on Migaku. I check it by hand, usually in under 24 hours, and you get 30 days of Pro. No card needed.

Migaku is the tool I recommend to every learner. It's how you look up words, mine sentences, and actually understand native content.

Steps

  1. Sign in to Aim first. That way your claim goes straight to your account. (No account yet? See How do I make an account and pick my first language?.)

  2. Tap the pink bar at the very top of the page. On a phone it says "Get 1 month of Pro Free with Migaku. Learn More". On a computer it says "Try Immersed Pro free for 30 days when you sign up for Migaku. Learn More".

  3. A card opens: "Get 30 Days of Immersed Pro, Free". Tap GET MIGAKU + 30 DAYS FREE. Migaku opens in a new tab.

  4. Subscribe to Migaku there. It has to be through this link. Purchases made in the App Store can't be tracked, so I can't match them.

  5. Come back to Aim and tap the pink bar again. The card now asks "Did you subscribe to Migaku?". Tap YES, I SUBSCRIBED.

  6. Type the email you used on Migaku. If you're signed in, your Aim email is already filled in. Change it if Migaku has a different one. Tap SUBMIT CLAIM.

  7. The card says "Claim received, verifying ⏳". I'm checking your subscription. You can close it and keep using Aim.

  8. When I approve it, you get an email from me saying your Pro is live. The card turns green: "You're Pro. 🎉 30 days, on me.", with the date it ends.

What if I haven't subscribed yet?

Tap NOT YET on the "Did you subscribe" card. The offer stays there for whenever you're ready. Lost the Migaku tab? Tap Open Migaku Link at the bottom of the card.

Why is my claim still "verifying"?

I check every claim myself, and it can take up to 24 hours. Can't wait? Tap Can't wait? Poke me on Discord and I'll jump on it on the card.

Typed the wrong email? Tap Need to update your email? and send it again.

Why does it say "We couldn't match your subscription yet"?

Usually the email doesn't match the one on Migaku. Re-enter the email you used there and submit again. If that still fails, tell me on Discord and I'll sort it by hand.

Good to know

  • Sign in before you claim. If you claim without being signed in, the claim waits in that browser. It only reaches me after you sign in on that same browser and open the Migaku card again. On another phone or computer, I'll never see it.
  • No card, no charge. When the 30 days are up, Pro just switches off. Nothing gets billed. See What happens when my free month of Pro from Migaku ends?.
  • Want to keep Pro after? On the green card, tap View Continuation Options. Go Yearly anytime: you keep your Migaku month, then get a free week before your first charge.
  • Pro users can hide the bar with the x on its right. Free accounts always see it. Hid it and need it back? Poke me on Discord.
  • You can claim it once. Try again on the same account and you'll see "This account has already successfully claimed 30 days of Immersed Pro".
  • The bar doesn't show during the assessment or in the games.
